Have you visited all the wine cellars of our guide and bought a few bottles of wine, has you should! Right… but what to do with the bottles when empty? Trash with them? Maybe not…

Because we do not like waste, we propose 3 suggestions ideas, step-by-step, to recycle your wine bottles and to keep them forever, as a memento of this beautiful journey.

Bottle of Port Wine Vintage

Material needed:

  • 1 Bottle of port wine (empty)
  • Glue for crafts
  • String or crochet line

Start at the neck and apply glue, wrap the rope around the neck paying attention not to leave empty spaces between the lines.

Apply glue to and turn the bottle and the rope until you reach the base.... And its done!

For a more fantastic effect and for those who have a little more patience, you can also use, instead of string, crochet string.

 

Pink Rosé Bottle

Material needed:

  • 1 Wine bottle with see through glass, clean and without any moisture
  • 50 ml of acrylic ink, opaque, pink

Pour acrylic paint inside the bottle, Carefully rotate the bottle so the ink can cover the entire surface.

Let dry for 48 hours, with the neck down, within a sealed container, in order to let out all the excess paint.

 

Message in a bottle

Material needed:

  • 1 Bottle of wine (empty)
  • Primary Ink
  • Ink for slate board
  • Chalk or 3 D

Apply around the outside of the bottle and let the primer dry for 24h.

After drying give a lick of paint slate let dry over 24 hours and give a second coat.

After more 24 h you can finally write your message with chalk.

If you want a more permanent result you may choose to write the message with a pen of 3D paint and let dry.

 

And now the question…..what to do with the cork? Trow them to the trash?

Come on... Of course not.!!!
