Offering flowers is an art that can't be done just at the base of the “because they're cute”! Each one has a special symbolism and the color changes the meaning completely. Therefore, everyone knows that a red rose means passion, but a yellow rose is a symbol of infidelity…. therefore, you have to have a certain caution!
In the old days, the bouquets were also for schedule dates, the nature and the number of elements in the bouquet meant an hour.
So that will be no more doubts, My Own Portugal went to the trunk of old books and found the “Dictionary of the language of flowers” dated of 1868, because then they knew how to talk with flowers and the 19th century Portuguese has more charm….
