Apimel

Apimel is a family business, founded by Fernando Ventura in 1981, in Lousã. Beekeeping already had a tradition of several generations in the family when in the early years 70 its founder, decides to take the first steps towards professionalization. The few beehives that initially constituted a hobby multiplied and his deep passion for the culture and geography of the mountainous region in the center of the country.

30 years after its origins, Apimel preserves the family matrix in a collaboration that brings together the founder and his two sons, assuming itself as the largest honey producer in Serra da Lousã, your main product and brand image.

Despite this, APImel has, since its origin, known to diversify its offer by taking advantage of the floral characteristics of the region, maintaining varied honey harvests that represent the main typologies of the Beiras Region. Click here
