Casa do Sal

Casa do Sal is a project that aims to contribute to the revitalization of the Salinculture of Figueira da Foz. We see Salinas as a very diverse space. The salt, to flora, fauna, the landscape, to culture, are the elements that, conjugated, allow us to create new products: food and leisure. Therefore, the Municipality of Figueira da Foz has publicly acknowledged, in July of 2005, the innovative work of Salina Eiras Largas.

Casa do Sal allows you to visit the salt pans where we want you to get to know the water cycle, from the sea to the butchers where Salt and Flor de Sal are created. We also like you to get to know our permaculture, where do we have salicornia, sarcocórnia, gramata, celgas bravas, etc. All edible plants that you can also taste on your visits.
