Crisal

In 1944 is founded in Alcobaça, Portugal, a company whose objective was to produce chandeliers in crystal and domestic glass, through melting sand, soda and lime at temperatures above 1500º Celsius. Since then Crisal has been growing. In 1970 inaugurates a new factory in Marinha Grande which had a huge expansion. This expansion gave birth to the first factory in Portugal with automatic production and the marketing of products under the “Crisal Glass” brand.. Since 2005, Crisal is part of Libbey Inc., a world market leader in table glass. Libbey is also the mother house, da Crisa no Mexico, da Royal Leerdam, leading producer of limestone in the Netherlands, Libbey China, China.
