The rice pudding is a typical dessert of Christmas tables in Portugal so we could not help but to share with you. We hope you enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

200Rice g (preferably rice Round)

1l milk

200 grams sugar

3 This gemas de

Q.s Lemon Peel.

1 Cinnamon stick

Cinnamon powder q.s.

Salt.

 

 

Preparation:

Cook the rice in salted water to taste. When it is cooked drain it and set it aside for now. Place the milk in a saucepan to heat, when it starts to boil add the sugar, cooked rice, peel or lemon peel and cinnamon stick. Go stirring to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom.

When it boils remove from the heat and add the previously beaten egg yolks. Then just bring to heat milder rather just to cook the yolks.

Serve in individual bowls or a serving dish and sprinkle with cinnamon powder. It is traditional to make drawings with cinnamon so enjoy!
